DONATIONS FOR DISPLACED POPULATION OF THE COLOMBIAN PACIFIC

February 28, 2022

Secretaria de Bienestar Social de Cali, COAMI Pacífico and Fundación Lejaim

The Secretaria de Bienestar social de Cali (Secretary of Social Welfare of Cali) leadered by Dr. María Fernanda Penilla, the Comando de Apoyo a la Misión (Mission Support Command, COAMI Pacific) commanded by Captain Oscar Arias and the entire team of the Fundación Lejaim Vida para la Vida – ONG (Lejaim Life for Life Foundation – NGO) joined forces to deliver donations to the victim population of the armed displacement of the Colombian Pacific.

One hundred (100) markets with non-perishable food and fifty-eight (58) pairs of shoes for children were delivered. The donation day lasted approximately four (4) hours, in which three (3) shelters were visited where sixty-six (66) families made up of one hundred and eighty-one (181) people are temporarily sheltered.

Additionally, the organizations actively participated in the Red Hands Day, rejecting  the recruitment of minors in the context of the armed conflict.

Finally, a special thanks to our benefactors in Colombia and around the world, because it is through them that it is possible to promote and generate these support places.

Note: Due to identity protection, in this blog you will not find photos of the benefited people (displaced).
